I travel all over the country training with my highly regarded shotgun program...the result is extremely fierce and effective CQB Fighters. The shotgun is just plain awesome when it come to defending life at CQB distance. Speed and Dominate Power come together as a threat stopper that cannot be matched with any other light arms. My program creates some of the most effective shotgun fighters in the world. Once you are introduced to my painless and effective system of shotgun you just can't get enough. You want to be faster, you want to be better, and you get there.
Imagine the bad guy coming at you with deadly intent at CQB distance and you are able to pound him with 5 rounds of 00Buck in 1.5 seconds Hooyah!. I'll be talking alot about shotguns because they are well worth talking about. What is your opinion, likes and dislikes, ammunition of choice. Let us in on it, we want to know.

Even at a naval special warfare unit, we barely trained with the shotgun. Yeah, we did plenty of small-arms training and put plenty of rounds through the scattergun; and even though we shot our military issue 00 buck shot at various distances to see what the pattern would do, one of the most memorable special-application drills/training we did was head-shots on a hostage/bad-guy target scenario where we had to know the shot pattern at the distance we were at to hit the hostage head poking out behind the good-guy. That was pretty much it.
It wasn't until I took Brian's Level I Tactical Shotgun Operator course that I realized all at once what I did not know, what I could learn, how much fun it is to operate with and what exciting training this was going to be. Oops, that's a lie... I just remembered: I watched his shotgun DVD and that's when the bug bit me to take his class. Did the same thing to my brother too. Throughout the 3 levels of Tact Shotgun Operator courses, we did everything imaqinable with a shotgun, except the trick-shot stuff the guys in the videos promoting Benellis do. Being a "tactical" and "operator" course, we learned to safely and *very* quickly engage single threats, multiple threats, moving shooter (forwards & backwards, both laterally and straight-on), moving target, transition to slug procedure, transition to pistol, the best damned way of combat loading I've ever seen, mannnn we did it all. Whatever you do, bring SOME sort of sling! I made the mistake of not bringing one during a 3gun course and after a couple hundred rounds and a few shoot-off competitions, my wrist was killing me.
Please trust me... I've been overseas and in the sandbox and cleared crackhouses in Houston. I can honestly think back to the worst-case scenarios I've been in and am able to realistically apply Brian's shotgun tactics in real-world environments. From police work to military duty or even just protecting your *own* home, Brian has shaved off the fat and put together a lean, trim tactical shotgun course(s) that will leave you tired, confident and amazed with what YOU can do with a shotgun.
But.... that's just *me* talking.

I never thought I would operate a weapon that I liked greater than my AR in CQB. Well after Hoffner's Shotgun Tactical class I was sure that my Benelli packed allot more punch than my AR. This is a hard statement for me to make but 8 rounds of 00 Buck shot is very impressive amount of lead that I know I can put on target very fast.

If anyone reading this has not taken Brian Hoffners Shotgun class consider yourself "unborn" and get up to speed and take the class.

I now consider my tactical shotgun as one of my most formable weapons and absolutely confident with it. This is definitely due to taking Hoffners Shotgun training to include the American Defenders.

The shotgun is the most intense weapon commonly used for self defense and home defense. They are inexpensive, easy to operate and 12 gauge ammunition is everywhere.

Brian's Tactical Shotgun I course teaches students shotgun safety and operations and goes deeply into the Warrior mindset and tactics.

The moving drills and combat load competitions were over the top. Crawford and Specrat were the finalists in our Tactical class and the whole competition was AWESOME!

If we must fight, then fight hard, fight to win, and fight with a vengeance....be ready in mind and body and know your equipment.

Tactical Shotgun I is a Warrior must.

Once you experience, with proper training(that is the key), the awesome speed and power of the shotgun you experience the euphoria of comanding the magnificent weapon without pain.

Ok, I have a question. Which would you experts prefer to have, a pump or auto? I'm leaning towards the auto. I like the 1100's or Benelli M-4. Which shotgun do you recommend and why?

Pump shotguns are dependable, inexpensive, easy to operate and easy to maintain.

For superior, controllable fire power the semi-auto is my choice.

Test fire the Benelli M-4 with extended tube and collapsible stock.

Mark,
I dig both. My pumper is the Remington 870 Wingmaster (an old wingmaster is better built than a new express model) with shortened stock, rifle sights, and single point sling mount minimum. My semi-auto is the Benelli M1 or M2 which comes with rifle or ghost ring sights (don't care, like both). I am still waiting for someone to manufacture a single point sling mount, until then I made my own. The Benelli is a hoot to shoot and shoot fast as the 870 typically will not run as fast as I shoot and that is frustrating. But if I am going to leave one secured in the car for any length of time it will be an 870. So...I have need for both.

In preparation for the upcoming Shotgun II class.

I found Benelli single point slings! Very Happy Shocked

www.tacticalshotgunner.com

The GG&G should fit M1, M2, M3 and M4 with full stock.

I will have my M4 single point sling at the Class.

This is the same one that they have had for a while. It is actually designed for sling strap (hence the wide slot) instead of a single point hardware connection. GG&G say they are going to make one but we are still waiting.
