Got this email today:
I just received my MinimalES holster that I purchased with the gift certificate that you donated to the police games. I own a Hoffners Pasadena mag pouch and a couple of old style ITP-J Hook holsters and just wanted you to know that this MinimalES holster in top of the line. This holster is all I need for all of my Glocks and it feels secure on my belt unlike some of the other brand’s cheesy attachments. If you own a Glock this is the ONLY holster you need and I feel like a 1911 model may be in my near future!
Anyway thanks for a great product and thanks again for donating the gift certificate.
Take care,
David |

With the new jump strap and Cecil’s engineering the new Strike Holster is Kick Butt. Like its predecessor it rides high on the hip but below the Tac vest level on Hoffners Patented System. There is absolutely no movement or shift on the leg like the other Tac Holsters.
Wait till you see what’s coming next with SpecRails on the holster too! Talk about high speed, low drag…It’s more than talk, it works!

This is how I have my SPEC Rail set up with a quad pouch for my STI mags then 4 AR-15 clips. Cecil also performed some maintenance to my Spec Rail while adding the quad pouch. It is amazing how comfortable this is not to mention the fasted loading gear on the market.

Guys,
I received today the Hybrid Warrior for 1911 you sent me in exchange for the Glock holster I won at Space City. VERY NICE! You haven’t lost your leather touch Brian. I came to your shop behind your house in Spring many years ago (12 or 13?) and had you build 3 or 4 holsters then. I remember chasing Gus around the yard while you worked. Thanks for the good work.
I also received the black medium T shirt with the holster. It should look real nice at church this Sunday. Maybe I should wear a coat also to stay politically correct.
Take care,
Jim Britton |

lol, funny stuff. Thanks guys, nice to know it's appreciated and useful. It's been made clear to me that my role in helping people while out on the streets patrolling is done, and I feel like this is where I'm supposed to be right now. So, if my role now is helping gear up officers, operators and other sheepdawgs do *their* thang, then I'm content and happy enough. i.e.: my brother has a Spec4 Leg Rail loaded up and in the trunk of his Plano P.D. patrol vehicle *AND* he's been through some great Hoffners 3-Gun training, so I feel better knowing he is prepared out there on the streets. Believe you, me folks... he is going home at the end of his shift!
Here's some shots of a new thing we're in production with now: a Spec2 Holster Rail to go behind the Strike Holster and to give the operator 2 more attachment points on his Level 1 gear, below his vest. While doing the requisite T&E on this, *I* chose to put a fixed-blade fighting knife behind my pistol (Cold Steel Magnum Tanto II) and a very durable and bright rechargeable LED hand held fighting light in front of the pistol (Beamshot TD10).
Let me know what you guys think of this concept.

OH! I forgot to mention also - if you look at the above photos closely, you can see that we're now making the Hoffners patented drop-down shank out of 3/4" kydex and not the old leather/metal/leather way. Talk about solid.
This is my Level 1 gear which I keep in an old issued military helmet bag in case of an 'event': my Strike holster with Spec2 Holster Rail on my gun side and my Spec4 Leg Rail with Quad pouch attached to the shank. I figure, if I have to go light and fast, then I have plenty of firepower with my AR and my STI .45... whether it be evacuating an area, popping smoke while breaking contact, or even a protracted firefight while fighting *into* or *through* an area (as the girlfriend already knows that if she is away from home when an 'event' happens and comms go down to stay put - *I* will come to her and we will move as a team).
Think ahead guys, cause it always seems to hit fast, doesn't it? No reason it won't again if something happens. Another example is I've already calculated my minimum round count for Level 1, etc to load all mags and have it set aside in a bag, ready to grab-go-and load. Hoo-Yah!
