Fundamental training has been referred to as basic but it is more essential than any other level of training. If we do not learn the proper fundamentals and then practice them properly over and over we will create a foundation of weaknesses, thereby; a foundation with cracks that could ultimately crumble. All advanced techniques and tactics are a continuation of basic skills not a replacement. Think of intermediate and advanced skills as building blocks. When you stack building blocks on a weak foundation it will crumble. When you have built a strong foundation through proper basic fundamentals, you then reinforce it with good repetition of the techniques. This reinforcement is the re-bar that hardens your foundation.
At Hoffners Training Academy we build foundations of Stone!

Hoff I think people tend to forget this at times especially as they start getting into advance classes. Some start worrying about speed or the next new thing. There is nothing wrong with taking time out every once in awhile,go to the range and walk yourself through it like its your first time.I remember my first time..........how about you. |

You bet Rico, you will never be hi speed, low drag, regardless of how much you practice if you don't first perfect a solid foundation. I practice the basics habitually.
