I just received the Ultrux Minimal ES ITP Shirt Tucker for a Bersa 380. I've tried it in front of my hip, behind the hip, in the back (not good, can't reach it fast), it seems to fit the best in front of the hip but because of the large leather part that holds the belt hooks, I can't sit, or bend my leg. I don't know if cutting the leather up to the holster will make a big enough difference. I'd hate to cut it and then still have the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Embarassed

Thanks,

Angel Carlo

Angel,
The optimum carry location is just behind the apex of the hip, (summer special position). The butt of the weapon will conceal into the small of the back. Because you can adjust the height and the angle of the holster if you can't find a comfortable position you're not trying hard enough. Two this to consider. When drawing the weapon from the summer special position you must mave your body in an aggressive forward position and have your shoulders rolled forward. This is necessary for the ergnomics of most humans. Second consideration is nerve acceptance. It takes a minimum of two weeks constant wear for the nerve ending to acclimate to the new bulk that they are sensing.
Once you have found the right spot and adjustment, completed the acclimation period you can cut off the un needed leather if you like, with the knowledge that once gone, gone for good.
It's a great holster, versatile, and deeply shirt tuckable.
Enjoy the beauty of concealed carry living,
Hoff

Thanks Hoff,
I will give it a try. As a matter of fact, I did like it just behind the hip but trying to access it was not easy. I will try what you said.

In the Summer Special/behind hip carry be sure to have an aggressive body posture/index and your shoulders rolled forward. This will allow a natural access and draw.

Hoff,
It's comfortable behind the hip. feels fine. The only discomfort is in the car. I take out the pistol, but the holster pinches my sides. I haven't figured a way around that except for sticking my shirt between my side and the holster. Other then that, it's very comfortable while walking.

Thanks,

Angel

Unsnip.

Perhaps wearing an undershirt or sticking a little moleskin on the back side of the holster will make it more comfortable.

I found that if I leave the pistol holstered, it doesn't bother me, it's when I remove the pistol to have it at my side that the holster it self digs into my side. So now I just keep the piece holstered.

If I decide to unholster it to have it more handy, I'll try one of those tricks.

Thanks
