All right fellas, I thought I'd start a thread here for S's and G's about duracoating a rifle. This is my first one but I think she's looking sexy. Let me know whatcha think and if you have experience, I am more than open to any pointers!

Here, I am partially done putting the larger stencils on one side of the gun, but it gives you an idea of the process and you begin to see what she's going to look like. For this rifle I've chosen to paint her up in a Digital Tigerstripe in Woodland Camo colors.

Thanks SemperFi but she ain't done yet. I put the layer of tan on her last night. Another set of stencils will be next, then the layer of green.
As for ammo and trigger time, I haven't had the time nor resources to go figure that out yet. Hopefully some time soon. This ebola virus we contracted at SHOT Show is still keeping me down somewhat too, so I guess I need to go see a voodoo Dr. soon.
Hey, note how Bad-A$$ that GG&G bipod that SemperFi donated to this project looks on it! Lovin it, Semper, thank you! [the bipod on the rifle in the initial photo has been %*(-canned and the rifle now rests on Semper's donated GG&G piece of tactical artwork]

Other than needing to sand and paint the smooth plastic lens caps & cheek piece, here is the end product, after carefully removing all male stencils and applying some female stencils then Trijicon Dark Earth Brown to help break up large areas and diffuse the pattern. All that's left now is some detail work around the areas of the scope's turrets and parallax adjustment marks - then a final clear coat for durability:

Yes, there are some minor blemish mistakes, but not bad for my 1st one. Guys, if you're painting your own, don't shy away from the details... like the bolt, kill-flash (if you use one), bipod, etc.

Thanks guys. Hey DEMON, here's the pictures of the paint schemes for your 3-Gun weapons you were asking me about and yes, I can do it - but No, I'd have to order the paint, brother.
