It was truly an honor to have been an American while Ronald Reagan served as our president. One of the legacy's of his leadership was his demands that Americans stand up, be accountable, and make something of themselves. He was a prolific speaker and great president, perhaps the best we have ever had. I know he is the best I have ever had. His voice is a comfort to me and his words give me strength. Enjoy this video as he recognizes our veterans of D-Day. I can only hope that we have such a man in the white house again someday.

My grandfather lies under one of those crosses at Normandy. Reagan and The Greatest Generation personify the principles, work ethic, and faith that this nation is built upon. That generation is passing, and we owe it to them to advance the banner of freedom. Freedom is not static, and is always under attack by those who hate it. I am afraid America has been lulled into a state of apathy by our great prosperity. The enemy is within the gates.
