Made in America

My wife and I are on a campaign. We intend do buy American as much as possible and buy “made in China” as little as possible, which is not easy to do. Americans have sold out their own country by buying cheap. Wal-Mart many years ago used to be all about providing American made products. Now they are only about cheapest prices. They make product providers sign contracts that require them to continually lower prices. Eventually, the provider can’t make a profit unless they sell out to China for manufacturing. I won’t set foot in Wal-Mart. But this problem is everywhere.. Walk in to any department store and try to find something not made in China, let alone anything made in the USA. On the internet, most sites don’t even list where the product is made. It is up to you to do your homework and research it. You can send an email and hope for a reply. If there is a phone number listed, I will call. Many times the representative has to go back into the warehouse and physically look at the item in order to find out. Once I was told that a hat I was interested in was made in the USA. I got it and, sure enough, it said made in China. I sent it back. I usually ask the clerk when they have to research it themselves, if they get asked this question very often. Many times they have responded “no, never before have I been asked about where an item is made”. It is chilling that nobody seems to care. People just don’t seem to give a damn. Just keep selling out their own country and send their money to China. Well, NOT ME! It is certainly inconvenient, time consuming, more work, and more expensive, but I will do my research and I will buy American! I will not be a part of those who sell out America with devotion only to lower prices, uninterested in the country of origin, or just to damn lazy to find out Wake up America!. Start looking at the tags. Begin demanding that your favorite reatilers provide at least some American made products. It’s a start. Yes, it is going to cost more, you can bet on it, but it’s not always about the money. It’s about pride in your country, discipline, strength, and the desire to make our country great again.

I am proud that Hoffners Holsters are hand made in America, by warriors for warriors. We hand craft them, then sign and date each and every piece because it give that piece individuality and that means something to us. And it gives our customers a sense of pride of ownership. Many of the big guys have “sold out” and make their holsters in third world countries with cheap labor. Not Hoffners, we wont do it. We will remain small with an atmosphere of a holster studio to serve Americans. We are proud of our products and proud that we are providing Americans with American made products for the American tradition of owning and bearing arms.

With Hoffners Training Academy I feel we are building Americans that are stronger, more disciplined and willing to do whatever it takes for a better and safer self, family, and country.

We all have to be involved. Demanding American made products is just a start. We have to spread the word, educate fellow Americans and insist they do the same.
