Hi, This is the 1st time to post but been watching for a while. Brian came out to our academy and did a intro class on the shootgun. Brian was great, I like his atitude and what he stands for.

I need the part # for the 10in stock from brownells, I have looked on there webpage and could not find it. I only found the 12in stock. Or if any one has a wood stock they would like to get rid of I would be interested.

Ezekiel, thanks for the help but I still cound not find a 10in stock. The Hogue was the one I was looking for. I may try one of those AR15 type stock, any one have a suggestion on one of those?

I have a speed feed AR type stock on my 870.It is not 10" it is full length.I love it.However if you are going into shotgun training for the first time you may want to use the traditional type stock being 10" or full length.I went to the AR type stock for personal preferance only.I keep it the same as my AR for mounting and uniformity in my training.Keep it simple. Yes, I was thinking about it being the same as my AR, but was wanting sujestions on a good make. I would prefer a 10in stock but if I can not find one, I will see about making one. I just dont have the time right now or a stock to cut down. I just need something soon.

so be careful you don't purchase the standard stock (12"):

Some of us Hoffners shotgunners love this stock because, obviously, it is shorter but I also like how it fills my hand in the grip area and really lets me torque the pig around (chicken-wing) to combat load quickly. For a brief period, I tried Mesa Tactical's stock adaptor & AR-stock with pistol grip and, though well-made, is not for me because it actually hindered my control and manipulation of my shotgun *especially* when it came to combat reloading.
