Been looking for a mount that would put my light at 12 o'clock, so everything would be in line with the rifle, and nothing hanging off the side to potentially snag on. Well after many hours on the net I found one. It's made by Hahn Precision.
It clamps to the barrel with 2 screws just in front of the FSB and allows the mounting not only weapon lights such the M or TL series lights, but also regular lights such as a G2 and the like, and it won't get in the way of the irons or a red dot optic. And the mount itself is narrower than the hand guards.
It's very light weight, and if you've not used a light at the 12 position, you've been missing out. The light is where your sights are, and it's even everywhere you look without any shadows. Very nice!
Here's a pic of it mounted on my Colt M4 with a Pelican M6 LED light on board.

Nice rig Wichaka...Protected position in front of iron sight, no shadows, micro-switch actuated, minimum hang-up potential.
Well thought out and efficient...hope you don't mind if we copy your configuration.
Which Aimpoint is that? |

I think I will be going to a bit more compact light, such as the Surefire G2. Its not a buch more compact, but every little bit helps, and the G2 is the plastic or nitrolon style, so a bit weight saving too.
The Aimpoint is a ML 3........... |

| Also I use a Surefire LED bulb too...........a bit brighter light than the standard bulb that comes with them. 80 lumens vs. 60-65. |
