For fun I recently took some 6 foot long 5/8ths aluminum tubing I had in storage and put a PVC mouthpiece on it ….presto- homade blowgun.
Fashioned darts from paper cones, ¼ in by 11 in long wooden dowel, and xacto knife blades for points.
Works great at close range. It has no sights. You just sight down the barrel. I can hit a beer can every time.
Here is the point of this story.
When I aim anything…be it camera, gun, bow, and even this blowgun, I keep both eyes open.
I am right eye dominate.
Here is the point to this:
While instinctively aiming this blowgun I have noticed IF I tilt my head to the left – placing my right eye directly over the pipe I am noticeably more accurate.
It is possible to align my sights on my pistol with my head in either position. Straight up and down or tilted.
Is it ok technique to tilt my head with my pistol?? Im thinking it may increase my accuracy like it did with the blowgun.
insight appreciated. Thanks. |
