I’m proud to announce that Hoffners Training Academy has fourteen new skilled and motivated Tactical Pistol Instructors, including Hoffners first female to make it to the Instructor level. The new instructors qualified for the instructor course after attending Hoffners Tactical Pistol I, II, & III.

We started day one reviewing the Hoffner Mindset Principles that makes Hoffners students stand out from all the rest. The venue may be the range but the skills are for every facet of life. We also spent the day rotating as range instructor of some of Hoffners innovative and revolutionary range drills such as SoSu (Sights-On, Slack-Up), shoot position push, second sight, and of course Hoffners active scanning drills (American Cop Magazine just re-ran my active scanning story in the American Cop 2008 annual which is on stands now). At hoffners Training Academy we don’t copy or follow, we lead with innovation, passion, and quality of program and instruction. By days end the prospective instructors got their lesson plan homework assignments.

Day 2; the lesson plans were presented by the class. I was pleased by the confident and skilled deliveries of the content, Great job. We got some more range time in and the class received their range teach-back assignments for day three.

Day 3; We hit the range and covered some more of the Instructor techniques that has made Hoffners such a trusted and favored training academy across the nation. The class then took control of the range and conducted their teach-backs. Like the lesson plans these were very well done. We finished the day by testing on the range. All were requires to pass the Hoffner Pistol Drill. It wasn’t easy but all got it done.

Congratulations to all who completed the course!

Hoff: this is like what we are hoping to develop and host next year at our favorite outdoor range in Northwest Washington state for both coppers and good citizens alike. Add on rifle and shotgun, instructor development and so on. Full week!

man that is a great looking group of instructors men and ladies it makes me want to take a class, smart bunch there. congrats to everyone i enjoyed your company and look forward to working with you all
