I admire gifted teachers like Brian and some others who have influenced my life.

Having been an insurance marketing and martial arts instructor and experienced what anyone who trys to impart information to another human being has ...there is one thought in my head that has saved me from total frustration with some students.

"Common sense is not so common..."

Keep up the great work all of you who bring useful knowledge to others, whatever the pay is usually it is not nearly enough.

The only time you will see me completely flame out is when safety is grossly violated, and after a warning has already been given. Sometimes that sharp and no so gentle rebuke in a group of cops is what is needed to get the heads swiveled back to the safety orientation.

Cops who are familiar to each other are some of the most serious violators.

You're better at that than I am in those situations.

I'm better at taking them off to one side and delivering the message one on one, but there is most definately a place for both.

We have it pretty good though, most of our people respond well to one or the other of us.

Mr. Hoffner has talent, to be sure - intensity and purpose that is contagious.

I also enjoy Bank for his humor, Mas for his demonstrations, etc.

Everyone has a gift they can incorporate, I think. Trick is finding it and capitalizing on it to the benefit of their students.
