Some years ago an invitational tournament was held. About 130 top tacticians from around the world took part. One event was a force on force scenario. About 122 were judged killed. Among the approx. 8 "survivors" were two and two only successful tactics. Here is the scenario. The competitor was told to get into a car, in this case a station wagon, driven by your granfather who had agreed to drive you to the airport. You were told that along the way something would happen. When an assassin came up behind the participant and put a gun to his head some of the survivors were successfully able to fight it out.
Q: What did the other surviving participants due to live thru this scenario?
Leave answers here. I will clear up the mystery in a few days.

I dont think there is enough details. Was the car moving or stopped? Is the person inside or outside the station wagon? Why is Gramps driving?that sounds like a deathwish in it self. Why is this 3rd person an assassin and not a car jacker.Details...details...details...let me have them.
Or maybe the answer could just be as simple as I would never let gramps drive me any where...Just a thought. |

That's what I'm sayin, hence my joke.
That's it? Grandpa is driving *me*?
NNNT!
Ok, I'll bite, grandpa is driving me... so we're driving along and an assassin what, comes flying off of a milk truck alongside our Clark Griswold wagon, slides in through the open rear window to attack me from behind?
This is a real scenario/riddle? I was waiting for a punch line.
Well, then I've got it solved! As soon as the wily assassin launches his attack from the rear, I dissolve just enough for the car to keep going and then I solidify after it's passed, leaving ninja-boy in the car with Grandpa Model-T, which should make him regret his choice.
Then I jump on my Ducati and head off to help Neo. |

Scenarios such as what Liam sites are commonly used in U.S. Department of State counter-terrorism training where students are taught to "expect the unexpected" hence very low success rates at the beginning of State Depertment 5-day, 12 hour per day training sessions. After training day 1, first time students feel like idiots because of the number of simple and obvious gotchas.
This is similar to Hoff's Force-On-Force Training...unless we subject ourselves to training then practice, practice and more practice...how can the intended target survive a street or terrorist attack?
After such training, students approach and leave buildings differently, drive and park vehicles differently (as to never get blocked in) and you break your own 'predictable' patterns, etc.
Good stuff Liam...you got people to thinkin'. |

| Assassins are like bees. If you ignore them they'll go away. |

It's tough to discuss scenarios online. There's a lot of visual cues/information that you don't get.
I'd ask him what he wants. Then give it too him.

| The few survivors that did not have to fight there way out inspected the interior of the vehicle before getting in. The assassin was hiding beneath some equipment in the cargo area of station wagon. |

| Was Grandpa in on it? I thought it was odd that the old coot wanted to drive me to the airport. He can change his own diaper now. No wonder grandma left him for the meals on wheels guy. |
