I'm modifying a new Mossberg 590 pump, and looking to put a flashlight on the forend. Does anyone have experience with the Surefire Picatinny Forend? If so, how does it mount/work, and is it valuable?
Seems like a good idea, letting me easily add/remove a lights, but I'm not sure how it works. |

The Surefire Forend Weaponlight has a successful history. It's well made and mine has withstood the shock of thousands of 12 gauge rounds being fired.
Good choice... |

I've got one on my 590. It was installed by Larry Feland in Houston.
www.felandgunsmith.com. He had to machine off the bayonet lug. Did a great job at a very good price. He also did a great job modifying the stock to fit me perfectly. |

| Hey guys. I'm just about to take delivery of a M590A1 18.5" next week and I'm planning to take Brian's next Shotgun I class. Can't freakin' wait. Been looking online to get some ideas on a tac light for it without swapping the entire forend. I actually like the Mossy forend and would like to keep it even though I have no doubt the Surefire setup is quality and works well. What are your recommendations, keeping in mind this is not the 20" barrel which seems to be more popular? |
