Ever wonder about the thinking that goes into some peoples choices when they buy a handgun?

In general, I thought it was the largest size you could be handle safely and be accurate with.

Don't think this guy got that memo, lol (and also why I hate public gun ranges)

Sometimes, the hapless neophyte takes the advice of a gun shop employee. Seldom does the buyer get what he or she needs.

As a trainer of Armed Professionals and Civilians, I have seen some real scrap iron on the range.

Best stay with standards. I tend to like duty/carry sidearms without hammers, manual safeties, or decockers. I guess that sounds like a Glock, or a Smith & Wesson DAO revolver.

I agree with you GT and sold all of my single-action and Double/Single action weapons a few years back. Nothing against them mind you, it was just a choice to stay with Safe Action/DAO,

For myself now as far as handguns go,it is only Glocks and S&W hammerless J-frames.
Pick it up and shoot it is how I feel and if I let someone get my gun then I deserve to have it used on me.

Keeps me highly motivated NOT to let them get to it.
