The urban sniper's optimum platform is not a long barrel, bolt action, .50 caliber, 40 lb., 2,000 yard weapon with a 50x optic. It is instead a medium length (20" - 22") barrel, suppressed, semi-automatic, .30 caliber, 20 lb., 350 yard weapon with a 5-20x NVD optic and 20 round magazines.
Training objective: Become highly proficient on stationary and moving targets at distances up to 350 yards in all light and weather scenarios. Maximize insertion, concealment and surveillance expertise. |
