I just received a LaRue 16" 1 in 8 upper with their 11" handguard. Man, it's a shooter! I didn't have a chance to bench rest it other than a 25 yd. zero, but after that we were making very regular hits on a 12" plate at 400 yards with a 10-25 mph right to left cross wind without even trying. I guess the fact that we were shooting a 73gr Berger round didn't hurt in the wind.
I used a 4.5x14 MK4 Leupold with LaRue's SPR mount and a DPMS lower with the MagPul CTR stock and JP trigger. BTW, all shooting was done with a Gemtech Halo can on the rifle.
Anybody had any experience with any of the other LaRue products? I'm curious to hear what shooters have to say about their stuff...

LaRue Tactical is located in Leander, Texas; 20 minutes north of Austin. Mark LaRue and his team are dedicated tactical shooters and produce highest quality, unique AR-10 and AR-15 hardware. LaRue's quick disconnect locking mechanism is the best on the market. No BS here, these are Operators at heart and their hardware shows it.

Night vision users check out the LaRue 30mm Pivot Mount QD LT-649 and red dot users check out the LaRue M68 COO that aligns red dot optics with Aimpoint or EOTech magnifiers.

LT 5.56 uppers are highest quality...hope you enjoy yours.

I've been extremely impressed with their products. With Mark what you see is what you get.
You're right about them being operators at heart, you should see the guys hanging around their booth at SHOT, they're the real thing.
Mark and his staff must be doing something right.

Just got my LaRue mount for my ML3.....I looked at many mounts before I decided on this one. A bit more spendy than the others, but way worth it!

Nice set-up, you can't allow price to cause you to settle on lesser equipment, congrats.
Mark was always 6 deep in people at the Shot Show and it was hard for me to get out of my booth so i did not get a chance to visit.
I will be getting some LaRue mounts for my new Hoffners Tactical Rifle. Will post photo soon.

Thanks, so far the only thing the night vision scope is of use, is for dropping a few coyotes around the farm. Easy to pick them off at night, they have no idea where the shots are coming from!

I think I'll keep the stock hand guards for awhile, and stay with the stock front sight base too, but would like to find a different mount for the light. I like it a bit below the front sight, to give more field of view when looking thru the M3. Any ideas? Show me some your light mounts......post pics if possible.

Other than that, I don't think I'll be changing much of anything else.

I've tried a number of AR-15 light mounts and have stayed with the LaRue Tactical Offset Flashlight Mount - part number LT-606.

The LT-606 positions the light low and to the right (or left) of the hand guard, is very stout and has a quick disconnect function. www.laruetactical.com

I'll plug in that I trust Mark Larue and his kit. It's on my patrol rifle. I appreciate speedy shipping from Texas although I do have enough of his hats now. Guess I need to tell him to hang on to 'em.

Although the tactical bottle opener is fun!

Mark's "Machine Gunners Lube" is petroleum based, is permeated with graphite, and penetrates well. I've tested it on AR-15's, a 1911 and a bolt action .50 cal.

Mark's lube works fine but I prefer MiliTec's synthetic oil and heavy weapon grease.

MiliTec lube and grease are time proven to work well in all environments, on all weapon types, and MiliTec sponsors many programs that benefit our troops and law enforcement officers. www.militec.com
