Perhaps the socialist law makers who created Illinois' "Gun Free Zones" may soon realize that these zones are nothing more than killing fields.

It would suck to be a college student or a resident of one of these states like IL that don't allow the actual law abiding private citizens to have the means to protect themselves.

Just wait for the latest incarnation of the media's standard template for the story, that this will all be stopped by gun control. IIRC, for this guy to go buy guns over the counter, not only did he have to clear the NICS check at the store and have a clean record, he had to get one of those state firearms owner's ID cards from the state of IL as well?

If LE was on scene in two minutes, that is a pretty darn good response time. But, 54 rounds were already down range and it was all over. The fight doesn't stop because the calvary is on the way. A lot can happen in the time it takes for them to get to you.

So much for Mr. Obama's point that we don't need to let private citizens own guns at all because the police will protect us.

I have family in Chicago who are avid shooters so they've noted Obama's 2nd amendment related comments over the past two years.

Obama has repeatedly stated that he sees no reason why citizens need assault rifles or magazine fed pistols or rifles. Obama believes quote "Our men and women of law enforcement are America's finest and Illinois LE agencies' 24 hour eye of protection is a strong assurance to the people of the State" end quote.

Of course Obama and Hillary have "what's the problem?" attitudes toward personal and family safety as they and their family members have 24 hour escort teams with them.

Wake up America...

They lack propper perspective, and perspective counts for a whole lot.
