SoSu is the Ultimate MMA (mixed martial art). Sights On - Slack Up is symbolic of winning ultimate fight. Pure, logical, simple, and exremely effective. Ultimate Warriors battling with empty hands, knife and pistol. Using Hoffner Principles the warrior is skilled, cofident, and just about unbeatable. SoSu is not sport, SoSu is pure unaldulterated defense of self with extreme prejudice.
SoSu means fighting with empty hands, knife, and pistol. Using your daily carry gear to win the unexpected fight. These are extremely easy and effective techniques. No other training academy will put you at such a huge advantage with so little. With SoSu principles and tactics you can take a knife to a gunfight...and win easily. SoSu Warriors are experts with the pistol as well. Able to win the CQB fight witha vengeance or quickly change position on the SAT Scale and become the pistol sniper. Hoffners SoSu warriors are awesome defenders of self and family. I challenge you to join us and and live life with extreme confidence and reward!
The SoSu Warrior as he or she sets forth for the day with hands, knife, pistol, and flashlight is higly trained for the unexpected attack. The SoSu Warrior is the good guy. We wish to harm no one but when attacked and our family threatened we will win with extreme prejudice. We live a life of confidence, high self esteem, composure, and balance. While Sights On - Slack Up is symbolic of winning the ultimate fight it also pertains to setting your sights on a goal, taking up the slack and winning the every day little fights of life as well. We are SheepDog Warriors of SoSu, life is good. |

| Fantastic, hands-on training... this session really built my confidence by practicing variations that demonstrate the simplicity and effectivness of action beats reaction. Deception, Distance, Focus, Timing, Power, and the Will to Win... Training on the grass in the fresh air was great! |

Brian met Darrel and I at the Tennise courts in his Porshe and told us SOSU was at the Baseball fields.
Training out in the open air was really great.
We pushed the hand to knife and knife to gun training harder than we
have at the indoor range. (Do I have to say your name? Bob!)
I have to say that Brian was distracted more than once by the eye candy.
(He is not blind)as I am not blind.
We did have one person inquire about what we training.
I think there are a lot of people that could benifit from SOSU at memorial park.
I enjoyed the physican intesity and focus of the training at this SoSu
Those pics are great!
SoSu rules to live by!
Don't put a rifle in Darrels face!
Don't put a pistol in Brians back.
Don't get elbowed by Darrel.
Don't put a rifle anywere near Jay.
thanks Brian |

Great class on Sunday!
Perfect weather, clean air, hands on training...what more could you ask for?
There are MANY things one can learn away from the range. Being able to walk through the techniques, discuss them and then practice with a partner without the restrictions and noise of an indoor range made the training much more effective. This class gave me a lot to think about and work on. |

Hooyaaahhh Warriors!
I missed this weekend's training due to travel and the motivation afterburners are now engaged after seeing the American Defender and SoSu pics and reports!!!
Outside training (rain or shine) is outstanding and allows for more aggressive, more realistic training...hooyaaahhh.
Train with pistol, rifle and shotgun at American Defenders and focus on hand-to-hand, knife and weapon take-away techniques at SoSu. Nice... |

Learn alot more on weapons take away, hands karate and knife defense. A great class to learn how to defend yourself.
If someone walked behind me and did a head lock on me, which will happen to me easy because of my serve hearing loss and can't hear someone walk up behind me to get away on time, then what, no problem. Pull out the clippet knife, shake the blade out, then stab the bad guy in the gut, push the knife downward, turn around look at the bad guy, if he still standing and still a threat, then a palm strike to the nose and pull out
my license carry 45 ACP. If you ever in a threat, there always a way to
defend yourself. That what SoSu all about and a great instructor, Brian
Hoffner. Can you find a class like that anywhere? That how we learn to be
a sheep dog and a Warrior! |
