Hello all...
I know how many rounds to buy but can someone suggest the type of rounds to buy for this class? Thanks! |

One type of cost effective 12 gauge (pump) ammo that has served me well during Hoff's shotgun courses is:
Winchester AA 2-3/4", #8 shot, low recoil, low noise, target load ammo.
Plenty of stores like Academy and Gander Mountain in the Houston area carry this ammo.
Happy hunting... |

may I just throw in that *whatever* you buy, I think you'll have much better luck in this class if it is LOW brass!
we will be doing plenty of reloading drills and there will be plenty of opportunity for malfunction clearances without our causing more by shooting HIGH brass.
Also, this is a Tactical Shotgun Operator class, so those who do not know better and have a pistol-grip on their shotgun may want to hit up a store and get a full shoulder stock. |
