Thanks bro, it's a new sumthin-sumthin we came up with here in the shop, calling it our "jump strap". I was making a SpecTact holster one day and remembered when I was a boat guy, that a lot of the Team guys who wore thigh holsters with jump straps (or almost any retention straps for that matter) would dial in some heavy retention on the holster's retention screws and only used the jump strap as retention when in transport to objective, while fast-roping, ship-boarding, etc. But as soon as they were over the rail and onboard, off came the jump strap so all they had to do was yank the gun out, which was in no way going to come out on its own at that point.
AND seeing as I went without any thumbstrap or retention on my old Strike holster for my Hk USP .45, I decided I wanted to try something like the jump strap... only use it when you need it. I think it turned out pretty friggin good and is still quick as (@*$ with minimal practice.

Thanks for the compliment too, but c'mon, Batman does have all the cool toys *and* cool cars.

Hoff,Here is another real life testimonial to your holsters. This past Saturday a TERD was attempting to leave a venue after punching a customer in the face and also punched one of there so called security in the face.Hpd arrived on the seen and the lone officer attepted to place the TERD in cuffs. The TERD wasnt haveing it,he began to fight with the officer and was winning.SEVEN of that venues SECURITY looked on and did nothing. The TERD made a grab for the officers gun and that was it for me.I jumped in and bulldoged the TERD face first into the street. This guy would not give up!After a brief wrestling match on the floor,More HPD showed up and helped the officer get the cuffs on.{ I took a punch in the mouth by an officer I knew, but it was a result of freindly fire.}To make a long story short my HOFFNERS J-HOOK and M2 with the TEK-LOCK stayed put and what do you know my weapon and magazines did not fall out into the middle of the street. This is important!I was in a situation with Three guys a while back and did not wrestle nearly as much and what do you think happend? As I got up from the floor I noticed my weapon in the middle of the street about six feet from me as well as one of my magazines.I recovered them immediatly and handled the situation. The gear I was wearing that day was not HOFFNERS {Im SORRY Brian please forgive me! }It was made by another holster maker here in town.Needless to say I did not wear that any longer.I know people own various holsters from various makers, but for me its HOFFNERS and thats it!Thank you Brian! We never know when leaving the house exactly what we are in for. If its a tussle your equipment MUST be there when you need it otherwise the bad guy may end up with it. Good equipment counts. Good job jumping in to assist the officer, I wouldnt expect anything less from you.
Thanks Demon,
Hoff
