Certification for carrying the knife is the key and Hoffner's is one of the very few with a certification program. I cannot emphasize the importance of having a valid program and the paper to back you up.

| I have had hpd mess with my bencmade folding tanto. they did nothing with me about it... just gave it back... it was a BIG knife!!! i loved it, alas the clip on the benchmade knives have caused me to lose TWO $160.00 folders... the last one was a mchenry/williams folder that was as sexy as the finest babe or sleekest italian sports car... i now have a sog and the clip on it won't let the knife fall or pull out... the sog doesn't open nearly as easily as my mchenry/williams, that sucker could open in a heart beat or less... woe is me... |

| Hey Alan, I had a folding pocketknife that I was afraid of losing for the same reason and decided to take care of it before I lost it. If you want to try the same with your pocketknives, I hope it helps, it did with both of my carry knives: I simply unscrewed the star screws and bent the clip inward a slight bit more and when I reinstalled it and tightened the star screws, the clip is significantly tighter against the body of the knife. May I also suggest using a little Loc-Tite blue on the star screws. Good luck! |
