the above link is to a very simple, but expensive knife on ebay made by mad dog knives. see the followinglink:

http://www.maddogknives.net/e_index.htm

These look great, but does anyone here have any experience with this company.

I have a ceramic bladed folder from Bokker and it is the sharpest knife i have ever owned, but would ceramic make for a good fighter like the micro spook in the above ebay link?

opinions?

Ceramic and other non-metallic defensive 'tools of the trade' are commonly carried by international air travelers.

Many of us fly several times per month and 9.11 was a wake up call!

When trained, equipped warriors are onboard, BG's will not take over our aircraft with hand held weapons such as box cutters...ain't gonna happen. Basic training has become standard practice in certain arenas on how to overcome knife wielding BG's by 3 or 4 brave souls wrapping shirts and jackets around their hands and arms and working in unison to overtake the BG's. Gutless sheep need not apply...

Ceramic and non-metallic materials, just like carbon and stainless steels, are available in a wide array of compositions and qualities.

Stay with a reputable manufacturer such as Cold Steel and you can't go wrong.
