Hoff,
Yes, he's been using it for the last couple of years. I've got one set, I just need to shoot it. I'll have it with me at SHOT.
Any word on your rifle?

I finally shot the XCR, I mounted a 4.5x14x50 MK4 Leupold on it in a LaRue mount. It shot very well around 1 minute using 55gr Black Hills soft point. I'd say it will shoot sub moa group once the snow melts enough to really give it a fair shot.

Thanks for the info. This rifle has had my interest as a .223 piston system.

Before the flak flies....

1. I am not an employee of Robinson Armament;

2. I paid for my XCR.

That being said, I think the Robinson XCR is the most overlooked carbine in the world today. On what other comparably priced rifle can you:

1. Change barrels in about 15 seconds?

2. Change calibers in about 90 seconds? (5.56 NATO, 7.62 X 39, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel)

3. Have the reliabilty of a true piston system, not a reverse engineered drop-in?

I have somewhere north of 5,000 rounds through my XCR under all sorts of conditions that caused the AR's on the range to choke and puke and I have not replaced a single part on the rifle, and nothing, repeat nothing, has broken on the rifle! When I taught with an AR, I had to rebuild it every 3rd or 4th class.

Best of all, it is 100% made in the U.S. of A., and Alex Robinson stands behind his product.

I gave my AR-15 away to a relative. The only carbine in my inventory right now is the Robinson XCR.

Excellent weapon system and company that is a Barrett style company in the making.

As is common knowledge, 7.62mm x 39mm is the most common battlefield ammunition found globally and Robinson manufactures a piston driven AR style weapon built around the 7.62 x 39 round.
