c & g wholesale on dacoma, has several brands of American Made boots. Thorogood boots are on sale right now all leather, ankle high, molded sole no skid. light weight. $90 on sale. MADE IN WISCONSIN!!!

This is subject near and dear to my heart. I'm looking for a new pair of duty boots and I have to admit that I have worn Chinese crap in the past. I'm currently wearing a pair of Oakley boots (made in China) and they are falling apart after a year. I hate to admit that I bought them. I also wore a pair of 5.11 boots (made in China) and while I have to admit they were pretty comfortable and durable I probably won't buy them again. Luckily they were given to me and I didn't spend my own money.

I'm looking at Rocky's, and Danners. Beware of Danner because I think some specific models might be made in China. Check the tags before you buy them.

Any other suggestions as to good duty boots?

It drives me crazy to see American Warriors wearing cheap Chinese made boots...IN UNIFORM! They usually say "I got them on sale" I say "so what!" Quit selling out your country for price. Find American Made (hint, the internet, follow up with a phone call to the company to make sure) and buy American made. Ask your favorite boot company, no, Demand that your favorite boot company provide an American product line in addition to their imported boots.
My Danner Boots are American made and proudly fly the American flag!

Get with it American Operators, don't embarrass yourself with Chinese boots-Hoffner out

They do carry a full line of Corcoran, Danner, Matterhorn, Rocky and Thorogood boots also, they just aren't on clearance but they are subject to the 15% stimulus sale price reduction.

I have bought a lot of gear through Botach over the last several years having obtained some top of the line gear at excellent prices and overall great service.
