Like most people who have not shot the shotgun very much this group did not have much ability or confidence at the start of the course but Hoffners Shotgun Program is regarded as the best in the land. If you don't have the right training the shotgun is not going to do you a bit of good and will probably hurt you. These guys learned quickly how to painlessly shoot the shotgun with extreme speed and accuracy. With the use of Select slug procedures thaey can put that one inch cannon ball on target as needed. These guys dug it so much they couldnt get enough and ended shooting a round count about 900 each, Hooyah!
They are now Certified Tactical Shotgun Operators and ready for Level II where we will take it to the next level.
Thanks to Hoffner Instructor Art Starliper who assisted with the class. Great job to all!!!

Met some amazing people along side on the line giving it their all, Great Instructors, Great Fun and the leftovers from feeding the pig: - skills for life. What a weekend!!!!
Learned the guts of a shot gun - thanks to SPICY tearing the barrel off his.
Prior to the class, I expected a thorough pounding after 2 days but Hoff truley has a better way to load and shoot a shotgun with confidence, speed and accuracy. Can't even brag about a single bruise today, but I sure woke up some muscules thanks to Art and the 10 round drills. Wouldn't have it any other way.
The most challenging for me was keeping my reactive brain from running amuck - the instructors assuredly test it and for good reason - learned a lot to work on.
At the end of the second day, I was tired but like everyone else, didn't want it to end. It started raining and we still wanted to test different shot gun configurations and amo. Learning doesn't stop, especially when it just got kickstarted.
When we can combat feed the pig faster we can have even more fun.
Look forward to seeing everyone at TS-II
Thanks Art and Brian - Great Job, looking forward to II |
