had a great time this past weekend with Brian's Defensive Tactical Folding Knife class. Having 25-30 people, ranging from young men and women, to the more senior participants As demonstrated, the folding knife is every bit an effective defensive tool, as is the pistol at close range and under some circumstances, even more so... EXCELLENT TRAINING SESSION! |

Great turn out this weekend at Brian's Defensive Tactical Knife Course. As Hoff teaches, the foldable knife should always be on our person anytime we leave home along with the pistol, flashlight and cell phone.
Glad you're on the Forum JOC, see you next week at the range and Vito's. |

| A great class with a very diverse group. For those looking to introduce someone to self defense, this is a good course to start them with. My daughter had a great time. Both of us learned a lot. |

The non knife hand was held center chest for the class. Is it just for covering the face if the BG strikes there?
Well, we did see an example of drawing the gun with the knife in hand. I suppose that could be done once you had some distance. |

To protest the throat, neck, and face...and to keep it out of the way of ones own blade as well.
The same hand could be holding the pistol in sul position protected by the knife from any reaching hands but ready for use at any milli-second.
Good stuff,
