Hey all, new here, first post. I like what I see so far, lots of common sense, which is uncommon nowadays.
I have the M&P9 and M&P45, I replaced a GLOCK 23 with them and dont think I'll look back to the GLOCK anytime soon. Nothing wrong with the GLOCK mind you but I LOVE the M&Ps!! I also carry the Charter Arms Southpaw .38 left handed revolver either as a bug or in light loose shorts. Had minor problems with the Charter to start...than major problems dealing with the manufacturer...the guys at the Firing Line in Westland, MI got it right for me though and I got a brand new gun to replace the problem.
I look forward to learning and sharing experience with all of you. |

Well, some time back I posted about the 1911. Tried as I might, It just didn't gell for me. So, I went back to old school and started shooting what I started my career with - a P226. I'm back in love with an old flame. It's a natural fit even though I'm now shooting 40 through her.
I'm fickle and I love the Glocks for what they are. But my 226 is where it's at. My only challenge now is working past my thumbs riding on the slide stop in a thumbs forward grip, causing the slide not to lock to the rear.
Training will hopefully cure that. And learning the fine skills of the double/single again. |

Just finished Tactical 1 with Hoff. Up until that time I had never shot so many rounds. My everyday carry is the FNP 9 in a Hoff Hybrid warrior holster. Gun is DA/SA with a decock. I always carry one in the chamber. It's very safe. There were more Glocks in the class than anything else. There 1st shots were single action. Mine were DA. I have given thought to purchasing a Glock just for these classes. But nah, I'll stick with the FN. It's very reliable and didn't have not one single issue with it. They come with 3 -16 round mags. Very accurate and recoil is insignificate. They have interchangeable back straps. Very fast back on target. IMOP - mucho bang for the buck and they don't get any easier to clean.

What a great forum!
I am new to the group... this is my first of what I hope to be many posts.
Typically I carry a Browning Hi Power in .40 S&W with two extra 10 round mags.
I also enjoy holstering up my CZ-97, or one of the M&P's in the stable. All function flawlessly.
However, one must remember to practice often. With all of the weapons at your disposal. And make sure your family members know how to use them effectively also. |
