One of the highlights of every year is vehicle Gunfighting. The weather was as Beautiful as the group of shooters that we had. After going over vehicle awareness and active countermeasures we took it to the range and trained with the proper tactics to fight from inside and outside the vehicle. We conducted penetration and trajectory tests on windshields and a vehicle door and gained valuable intel. Vehiclular hijack...no problem, ambush...shame on you, kidnapping...don't think so! Great job everybody. Couples that took the course together will kick butt together. Missed it? Don't miss it next year!

Another great class, Brian. Thank you. Looking forward to a Hoffners bumper sticker that says, "My other car is better cover." Better yet, try this:

I can't say enough about this one - what a great class! Left the range tired but confident that I could now handle a "situation" in or around my vehicle. Went home and practiced some of the concepts with my motorcycle, as I'm on it as much as in my truck.
Looking forward to doing this one again next year! |

Great class on tips and techniques for different scenarios involving our vehicles. It was a needed reminder that situations happen within seconds and we must be able to access our weapons quickly, effectively and safely.
One of the most important lessons we took away was the concept that you MUST be proficient in communicating with your partner or others in the car to be effective and we must practice those skills on an ongoing basis, so just like SOSU, they will be there when we need them the most.
So if any of you guys who live in the Houston area happen to be parked near a car and hear someone yelling "Loading", "Covering", "Loaded", and think some kooks are in the car...it's just us practicing our vocal skills!

| This is the first class of its type that I have ever attended. It was very interesting. I've always wanted to see what happens to a windshield when it takes bullets. Now I know. |
