2 Sheriff's Deputies Shot In Washington State, Suspect Killed

The Tacoma, Washington area is the scene of another police shooting. This time officials say, two officers were shot while responding to a domestic violence call.

The Pierce County Sheriff's department says two officers were shot Monday evening while responding to a domestic violence call. The fight was between two brothers, one of whom apparently wanted the other out of the house.

Spokesman Ed Troyer says the officers were greeted at the door by one brother, while the other was in the house arming himself. The second brother then allegedly opened fire on the officers, hitting one multiple times. Troyer says the officers were able to return fire and kill the shooter.

One officer was airlifted to a Seattle hospital and is in critical condition. The other has been taken to a medical center in Tacoma in serious condition.

Three weeks ago, four Lakewood police officers were shot and killed at a suburban coffee shop in Parkland, Washington.
