So this is where we shout out to our old comrades-in-arms huh? Well, I would like to hear from anyone who has served, no matter what service, rank, rate or mos. I am especially hoping to hear from some old buddies from Special Boat Unit TWELVE, other boat guys like RHIB guys, Mk V SOC guys, HSB guys, old ass Seafox and PB guys, Team guys, SOCOM, SAR swimmers, SERE, MAROPS, Stinger gunners, Photo Intel, h.ell it doesn’t matter to me.
God, Country and Fast Boats… Hoo-Yah!

Excellent fast boat pics Cecil...
My primary MOS was Aviation Ordnance then volunteered for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) duty. During EOD school I began swimming (underwater hockey was a lung buster), PT'ing and doing 'E' club duty with your UDT brethren.
After EOD school at Indian Head, Maryland further training was taken in Florida and California then on to SE Asia (1973) attached to a Navy team as an EOD/photo recon operator.
Combined USMC/Navy teams have operated for decades and we all have highest regard for the 'fast boat' and 'brown water' teams that inserted and extracted us.
Your experience and attitude will continue to motivate, guide and equip many to fight the good fight...
Let me hear from our EOD/UDT technicians and rescue swimmers... |

| Hey Cecil, I was in the USMC and ARNG Reserves before 9/11 so I was getting more action in the civilian world then most of my active duty friends, now they are all laughing at me so I began the process of trying to go back into ARNG as an 11B, hoping to do a year in I-crack. BTW, even thought I used to make fun of squids like we all did (hehe), I started looking at a lot of jobs in the Navy and I must say, you guys do some fun stuff: Master-At-Arms, brown water swift boats, divers, etc. |
