First lets take a moment to HONOR and REMEMBER our fallen Brothers in Arms. Let us not forget the lessons learned by these tragedies. Remember to stay vigilant in your training, and get the other less motivated involved. Live the code of the warrior.

Police deaths at highest midyear level in decades
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A surge in fatal shootings has contributed to a dramatic increase in deaths of law enforcement officers during the first six months of this year, the highest midyear body count in nearly three decades, according to a report due out today.
The annual count by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund found that 39 officers were killed in shootings ...

We take freedom and safety in America for granted. Few neighborhoods have barred windows and reinforced doors and the public can pretty much be at ease going out at night for dinner with family and friends.
Violence in America, though on the increase, is not an everyday concern and we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to our police and fire departments, EMT's and all first responders (and their families) who live on call to protect our freedoms.
Thank you... |

Though it is a reminder that it is a dangerous job, we race to the violence as others run away. Violence is up but it is nothing compared to what the future will bring. Our military is buying us time so we can train, equip, and prepare, but eventually we will be fighting it here as well.

Yes Hoff, the threat to our way of life is very real and growing stronger from within our borders from enemies with a common goal. There is nothing to fear and now is the time to train, gear up and prepare...
What Israel and Lebanon have experienced for many years will soon be in our streets and on our TVs. To those who doubt this, time will tell.
Our Police and other first responders will rely on us to support them.
Wake up America...

When they try, and they will try, we must kick kick them hard in the nuts and smash their teeth in! It won't be easy and it will take equipment, training, and much preparation, the time to get to work is now!

"No one attacks me without impunity"
I'll add my creedo, adopted from my old military unit: "Tutor et Ultor"
While we believe it and apparently practice it, I have to wonder how many of our fellow officers will not and fall when that time comes. As instructors, we have an obligation to get them ready. However, it's a struggle to lead the horse to water and harder to get management as deeply involved or as interested in the fight. |

That's where my old military credo comes in. "Defensor Fortis."
Our efforts defend the force. |

You guys are so right, and, as instructors we can only reach those who wish to be reached. As for our administrations I believe I detect a change on the horizen, some in the form of government backed training initiatives that cannot be stopped by administrations. Extremley Good stuff like ALERRT that is beginning to snowball and positively effect the way we train.
