This is the book that inspired the TV series The Unit.
I would have enjoyed the book even if I didn’t watch the show. The book, however, made me notice a lot of subtle things in the show that I had failed to appreciate.
Fan or not of the show, most of the forum members here would probably enjoy this book as it covers not only the selection process but some of the training and missions. |

One of my favorite statements from the book -
"However, high-speed gadgets are not the reason Delta Force operators are so capable and deadly. They could be armed with muzzle-loading rifles and tomahawks and would still be formidable warriors. No, it is their phenomenal willpower, resolve, and determination that make them the world's premier fighting men. That hasn't changed since the very first days of the unit's existence." |
