This is an interesting scenario.

Consider the angle of the video, and please comment.

1. What are your thoughts on the Lady with the child?

2. What is the opinion on the clerk lady?

3. What is the opinion on the clerk guy?

For three untrained individuals?

I think they did OK. They won.

1. Took her awhile, but she eventually took cover with her baby at the direction of the female clerk.

2. Had the presence of mind to tell the lady to hide behind the counter, and was on the phone, presumably to 911.

3. The male clerk decided to act. He had a bad position to start with being almost between the lady/child and the bad guy. Sometimes life doesn't give you the position you want. He acted, and won.

Swap those three out for people with some training and experience, all sorts of things to critique all day long.

Given what I saw without further information, I say bang up job and good on them for fighting.

maclean I think you hit it spot on.
I would add these observations:

1 She looks to stay in condition white for a Looooong time.

2 The cleck lady complied and didn't make the BG nervous.

3 I like how he moved a little, getting closer to a clear shot line, when he was complying. I thought his "hidden drawstroke" was very nicely done.
